Some tips important to get a good amount of traffic to your site.

These tips have been collected from several publications.

Send your site's URL to the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN), and other search engines that can be found on the web. These companies provide registration sites. Traffic is not inmediate, some of the search engines take weeks to update their lists.

Write articles related to the site' niches, every few days and send them to the specialized directories. Be sure to include a link to your site in the author's box. The articles must be optimized for related keywords. Submit these articles to the publishers of email newsletters as well. Articles provide a long run traffic.

Write a press release about your website and submit it to the specialized sites. It is important to become familiar with this type of essay before posting. Articles and press releases are quite different.

Search for related blogs and leave there useful comments with a backlink to your site. This is a good way to achieve traffic if blogs are correctly selected. 

Answer questions concerning the topics of your site in yahoo answers, a quite popular site, with thousands of visitors. Be sure to put a link to your site in each response. 

Register at the most popular forums related to your site and participate actively, with wise answers and questions. Your signature wearing a link to your site. 

Post blogs at Blogger.com and Wordpress.com blog with a link to your site and present them to hundreds of blog directories. This will give you good amount of qualified traffic as long as you keep your blogs updated. 

Post ads with a link to your site to all sites that accept free classified ads. Some of them allow the inclusion of active links. If your ad is well written and well-sorted, many people will visit the place. 

In the emails that are sent use a signature with a link back to the site, provided that it does not seem inappropriate. 

Post links in the main social sites pages, which should contain an interesting profile and good content. Social sites can be very good sources of traffic, both general and targeted.

Use simple videos, eg sequence of slides in PowerPoint with voice and music, to promote the site. 

Try exchange links with other sites that appear in the top positions in Google searches. 

Write a a brief ebook (10 to 20 pages), with a link to your site. Send this to all the directories of E-books that can be found on the web.

Blogs can be transformed into virtual shop windows, specialized in promoting different topics or products in the Internet market niches or segments. While the work of maintaining assets is greater, the potential of earning passive increases. 

Such is the case of Google AdSense ads. By expanding the topics extending the range of ads, there are more options to achieve interest from visitors. 

Key in this process is the choice of market niches, in order to have real possibilities of achieving a significant number of visitors. The niche selection is a very broad topic over which there are as many opinions as experts. It is not easy to understand the process in its full extent. 

In my case, in addition to reading articles and books that are in abundance on the net, I am continously testing topics and subtopics that attract more visitors and also testing which are the most accepted forms of propaganda. 

The exposure of the products within these windows also takes a learning time. There are sections of a blog that are more visible than others and this often depends on the entries content.

Another important aspect for obtaining good number of visitors is that the search engines Google and other specialized sites, detect the existence of the site and place it in preferential positions in its pages.

The blog's URL must be also sent to free directories (found in Internet searches), properly classified in the adequate category.

The entries titles and the contents should have words that define subjects that are being processed, called keywords, which achieved the ranking by the search engines. Thus every visitor seeking information on these topics with similar words or phrases, will be redirected to the site.

Attetion must be paid not only to the most popular words only, but also to those of lesser traffic.

This is a topic for a detailed development, because there are important aspects as they devote attention to every word, the announcers and more.

The content is perhaps the most important for a successful positioning, SE attraction is achieved by keywords and the posting frequency.

Once spiders find a site with good content consistent with its classification, responding to words or topics searched on a daily basis and renewed frequently, the placing of this site on the first page is quite easy.

There are free services for sending updates to the sites, http://pingomatic.com is one of them and I use regularly. It is a bit cumbersome when you have several sites that are updated daily.

And to close this post, I believe one should "monitor the progress," with just a Google search using some keywords to see the position of the site. This can be done 2 times a week. The first few times it is exciting to see our sites placed on the first page of Google. After, a challenge is upheld.
